3 baby ‘ burro’ bananas, peeled
2 tablespoons dark chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon solid vegetable shortening
2 cups VELVET Vanilla Lover’s Trio or Chocolate Nut Lovers
Split the bananas in half, end to end and place in a glass
pie plate, cut side down. Set aside. Place the chocolate chips
and shortening in a small, flat bowl and microwave on HIGH
power for approximately 45 seconds. Stir until the chocolate
has melted or melt for an additional 15 seconds. Drizzle the
chocolate over all the banana pieces, coating as much of the
top of the banana pieces as possible. Allow to sit for 10
minutes to cool and hardened the chocolate. Cover and place
in the refrigerator until ready to serve. This can be done
30 minutes before serving. Place 2 scoops of VELVET ice cream
in each bowl and top with 3 halves of the bananas per serving.
Top with whipped cream and slivered almonds.
