BANANA CREAM ICE CREAM PIE

Ingredients

 

  • 1 container Velvet Homemade Vanilla ice cream
  • 2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 fresh bananas
  • 1 teaspoon banana extract
  • 8 oz container whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove Velvet Vanilla Bean ice cream from freezer to soften.
  3. In a bowl, mix together crushed vanilla wafers with melted butter. Press crust mixture into a pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes until crust has set.
  4. In a large bowl, mash 3 bananas with a fork. Add the softened ice cream and the banana extract to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.
  5. Thinly slice the remaining banana for garnish and set aside.
  6. Pour the ice cream mixture into the prepared crust. Cover the ice cream with a layer of whipped topping. Garnish with banana slices.
  7. Freeze one hour before serving.
